Industrial Bellows Pumps
Bellows pumps, also called diaphragm pumps, are a type of positive displacement pump that use a flexible membrane or bellows to move fluids. Industrial bellows pumps can handle a wide range of materials, including corrosive, abrasive, and viscous fluids, making them suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industrial applications. The bellows provides a seal between the fluid and pump mechanics, preventing leaks. They are well-suited for pumping precise volumes or handling shear-sensitive materials since there are no sliding or rotating parts contacting the fluid. Bellows pumps can run dry for periods without damage and can self-prime. They typically provide relatively low flow rates compared to centrifugal pumps but can generate high discharge pressures. Common designs include mechanical and hydraulic actuation to move the bellows.
