Description

The March Pumps Series 6 Centrifugal Pump is ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and scrubber systems. There are two standard motors: the first is a 1 phase 60 hertz 115/208/230V and 50 hertz 115/230V 0.5 HP totally enclosed fan-cooled motor, and the second is a 3 phase 60 hertz 208/230/460V and 50 hertz 190/380V 0.5 HP totally enclosed fan-cooled motor (note that there are performance differences between the hertz options). The pump is capable of handling mildly or highly corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents.

Note that the pump is not self-priming, and requires a flooded suction. Pumps cannot be run dry, as the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. The direction of motor rotation should be clockwise when facing the inlet of the pump. For liquids with a specific gravity greater than water, have a higher viscosity, or for elevated temperatures, a trimmed impeller may be necessary.
