Description
The Chesterton 14KLR Lantern Ring is used in rotating equipment to improve lubrication and cooling for packing rings and lip seals by uniformly distributing the liquid around the circumference of the shaft, were external lubrication is utilized. Additionally the 14KLR keeps abrasive and chemicals flushed.
The 14KLR improves the service life of compression packing in pump, mixer, and rotary airlock stuffing box areas. Lantern rings are also used in bearing protection applications, ducting lubricant and providing lubrication for the rotary lip seal. It incorporates multiple radial holes, providing proper and uniform fluid distribution. The lead-in chamfers on the OD of the rings makes installation easy.
