The Iwaki MX series of magnetic drive pumps is engineered to meet severe operating conditions, making it suitable for use in applications such as chemical transfer on chemistries such as bleach and sulfuric acid. They contain a self-radiating structure which can allow for brief periods of dry running when fitted to a carbon bearing. This structure aids in withstanding cavitation and running against a closed discharge valve.

This series also utilizes a split volute casing as a resin magnet pump. This casing forms a vortex chamber which can limit the liquid flow from the impeller and return it to the pump. The pump can be installed for both indoor or outdoor use, but should always be mounted horizontally. Pumps are sized from 1in by 1in to 2.5in by 2in. The motor is sold separately.
